typographer accordion book
For this accordion book project, we were to draw a well-known typographer's name at random.
After a name was drawn, we were to research background information on the artist as well as
their achievements. The books intent is to represent and pay homage to the typographer by
incorporating color, techniques and type that the artists was frequently known for using.
The book details typographer David Quay and breaks down into sub-sections his early life,
education and accomplishments. Famously known for the typeface, Foundry, the book
emulates the typeface Foundry dit-dot as well as deconstructed type that was generally seen
and embedded in many of his works.
